AWARDS

2023 Northeast Florida Image Awards

The Imageville Awards are the 2023 North Florida Image Awards brought to you by the Jacksonville and Gainesville Chapters. Conducted annually at the chapter level, the local Image Awards competition provides PR practitioners an excellent platform to be recognized in their home markets for their outstanding public relations tools and programs. The 2023 Call for Entries is now available.

About the Image Awards

The Image Awards also works to give entrants insights for entering their work, if they choose, into FPRA’s statewide competition: the Golden Image Awards. The Golden Image Awards have become a standard of public relations excellence in Florida.

The Image Awards competition mirrors the Golden Image Awards, but is held on a local level as opposed to statewide. Both these award competitions include four divisions, and within these divisions are multiple categories.

  • Public Relations Programs

  • Collateral of Public Relations (formerly Printed Tools of Public Relations)

  • Audio/Visual Tools of Public Relations

  • Student Projects in Public Relations

To qualify for judging, an entry must incorporate sound public relations research and planning. Entries also must meet the highest standard of production, execution and evaluation of results and budget.

Generally, entries come from within the host chapter or its local community, but the competitions are not restricted to those entries; you do not have to be an FPRA member to enter. An entry consists of a two-page summary of the program, tool or project and a summary of the entry, a brief summary of the entry, an organizational overview, an image representative of the entry, and supporting materials. Judges for the local competition are qualified, experienced, and accomplished PR professionals from a neighboring FPRA Chapter. Judges must hold APR or CPRC accreditation or be a previous Image Award recipient.

Three types of awards can be presented in each division/category:

  • Award of Distinction: Presented to all entries that meet the five criteria of excellence set by the panel of judges.

  • Image Award: May be presented to the top-scoring entry in each category, provided it meets the predetermined criteria of excellence.

  • Judges’ Award: Given to an outstanding entry that achieves maximum results while using a minimum amount of money.

The top-scoring entry in each division receives a Grand Image Award, with the top public relations program receiving the Grand All Image Award.
