Congratulations to our Winners!
JACKSONVILLE, FLA. (April 13, 2021) – The Jacksonville Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) honored two area organizations with awards as part of its 2021 Local Image Awards program, “In Pursuit of PR Excellence.”
Grand-All Image Award
Taking top honors for its “Firehouse Subs Answers the Call for Heartfelt Service” campaign, the company won an Image Award and Judges’ Award in the Community Relations category and the divisional Grand-All Image Award. To thank the brave men and women who have protected our communities throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the Firehouse Subs public relations team helped coordinate a five-month campaign where franchisees donated more than 90,000 meals to healthcare workers and first responders across the U.S. and Canada.
Award of Distinction
The Jacksonville Port Authority earned an Award of Distinction for the “JAXPORT 2021 State of the Port” Virtual Special Event. With in-person events on-hold due to the global pandemic, JAXPORT’s marketing team pivoted the annual State of the Port address to a virtual event – capitalizing on the opportunity to share the port’s new strategic master plan with a global audience.
The FPRA Jacksonville Chapter Local Image Awards competition is conducted annually to recognize outstanding public relations programs and to encourage and promote the development of public relations professionalism in the greater Jacksonville area.
To qualify for judging, an entry must incorporate sound public relations research and planning, meeting the highest standards of production, execution, and evaluation of results and budget.
The competition is open to both FPRA members and non-members alike. Participation provides valuable insight for those who wish to enter FPRA’s statewide Golden Image Awards, a highly-regarded standard of public relations excellence in Florida.
