The Jacksonville Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) will hold its annual Media Field Trip on Friday, July 16, 2010 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Last year, we filled a school bus with eager public relations execs who wanted to visit area media and see some behind the scenes action. This year’s interactive 2010 field trip will give PR pros an inside look at various media outlets, including radio, TV, newspaper and commercial printing.
The tour begins and ends at Paramount Performance Marketing on Jacksonville’s Southside, where you will learn what happens after you send your publications to print. Other highlights include the Florida Times-Union and WJCT, where First Coast Connect producer and host Melissa Ross will give a guided tour and field your questions.
Breakfast and lunch will be served, accompanied by our guest speaker, longtime Jacksonville journalist Karen Brune Mathis. Local media professionals will also attend our lunch to give you an opportunity to build and nurture those relationships that count when you want to get your story out.
The multidimensional media experience is one PR professionals can’t afford to miss! Check-in, breakfast, and mix and mingle begins at 8 a.m. The tour will begin promptly at 8:30, so please arrive on time so you won’t miss the bus.
